Answers

1. How often will I receive an HHonors statement?

You may choose how you want to receive your HHonors activity statements. Choose to receive your statement via e-mail, and you'll have monthly up-to-date account information faster than via regular mail. You may update your statement preferences inside your HHonors account profile online in the Communications Preferences section.

2. Why isn't there an online folio available for every hotel in the list of My Hotel Stays?

Folios are available at most hotels for three months from check out date. A link to view folios may be delayed up to two days from the date of check-out.

Folios will not be available online for Conrad Hotels (outside the U.S.), Hilton International Hotels, Hilton Las Vegas, Hilton Myrtle Beach, Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Hilton Grand Vacations Orlando, Hampton Inn San Jose Costa Rica, Hampton Inn & Suites San Jose, Hampton Inn Guayaquil, Ecuador Embassy Suites Bogotá, Columbia, Embassy Suites Caracas, Venezuela, Doubletree El Pardo Lima, Peru, Embassy Vacation Resort Maui, Hi, Embassy Vacation Resorts Kauai, Hi, Embassy Suites Denver Downtown, Grand Vacation Valdoro Mt. Lodge, Embassy Vacation Resort Orlando, Embassy Vacation Resorts Lake Tahoe.

3. Why doesn't the online folio reflect charge corrections made by the hotel after my stay?

If the hotel makes any adjustments to an item from a stay folio after the guest has checked out, those modifications would not appear on the online version. Please call the hotel for further assistance.

4. What can I do if I don't see a hotel I recently stayed at on the list of My Hotel Stays?

The purpose of the 'My Hotels Stays' section of the My Travel Planner page is to allow you to quickly re-book at properties at which you have stayed. This list should be accurate for stays booked on our websites while logged into your account. However, some stays made through other means (phone, at the hotel, through another website, etc.) may not be included on the list for various reasons (i.e. difference in name spelling, middle initial, or address). A link to view folio may be delayed up to two days from the date of check-out.

If you are a Hilton HHonors member and want to confirm that your stay history is accurate, click on the HHonors Activity tab to see your detailed stay history information.

5. How can I earn HHonors points?

To earn HHonors points, a member must be a registered, paying guest at a participating Hilton Family hotel. Stay at a participating Hilton®, Conrad®, Coral by Hilton, Doubletree®, Embassy Suites® or Hilton Garden Inn® hotel and earn 10 HHonors Base points per eligible U.S. dollar charged to your hotel room (including telephone and room service charges) for eligible rate stays. Just provide your HHonors card or account number when you make reservations and check in at a participating hotel worldwide.

Members will earn 10 HHonors Base points per dollar spent on the room rate only for eligible rate stays at Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites®, and Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotels.

Eligible (qualifying) Rate stays are stays at all rates except wholesale/tour operator packages, contracted airline crew rates, complimentary or barter rooms, stays on NET Group, Series Group or IT Group rates, contracted Entertainment or Encore rates and stays using airline percent-off award certificates. Stays that are booked via third party websites other than the websites of Hilton HHonors airline partners are not Eligible Stays irrespective of rate paid, for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward VIP tier status. Stays booked via "opaque" channels where the brand is unknown at the time of purchase are not Eligible Stays for the purpose of earning points, miles or stay credit toward VIP tier status, or the receipt of VIP tier benefits such as upgraded accommodations/amenities or access to health clubs. No point or stay credit, airline frequent flyer mileage credit or credit toward tier status will be awarded for "no show" situations when a member has made a reservation guaranteed with a credit card but then does not check in to the hotel--irrespective of whether or not the member's credit card is charged for any portion of the reserved stay per the hotel's "no show" policy.

You'll also earn partner bonus points whenever you rent from any HHonors car rental partner in conjunction with your qualifying stay. Bonus point amounts and earning requirements vary by car partner.

9. Do I have to sign up for an account to find out about hotel rates?

No. You can still research hotels and rates without enrolling. However, if you do not enroll either in a Fast Reservations or Hilton HHonors Account, you will need to key in the required fields to confirm your reservation.

10. Can I book an HHonors hotel reward stay online?

Yes. You can redeem your HHonors points online or via phone for any Standard or Point Stretcher® hotel reward. We recently enhanced our online search options to include Flexible Dates, so you can view a hotel’s availability for an entire month. Begin your search for participating hotels and corresponding reward categories or view instructions on how to redeem points for a hotel reward. You may also call 1-800-HHONORS or call your local Hilton Reservations and Customer Care office to book your reward reservation.

11. How do I cancel or change a reservation online?

You can cancel or modify an existing reservation made on-line using your confirmation number and either the credit card used for confirmation or your last name. Use the reservations lookup feature.

12. How quickly can I earn an HHonors reward?

Faster than you may think! A free night at a participating HHonors Category Opportunity hotel is 7,500 points. Begin your search for participating hotels.

13. Can I receive credit for two rooms if I'm paying for both?

Members may earn Base point credit for up to two rooms per stay, if all eligible charges for both rooms are paid together on one folio. Base point credit will be earned for all eligible folio charges incurred on both rooms. Bonuses issued on Base points or total folio charges, including tier bonuses (15%, 25% or 50% depending on member tier), and double or triple Base point promotions, will apply to the total Base point credit earned or folio charges incurred for both rooms. For any other bonuses, including partner bonus points and other promotional bonuses, bonus points will be awarded on one room only. You will receive only one stay credit (including credit toward HHonors VIP tiers), and only one mileage credit will be earned.

14. When I convert HHonors points to airline miles, how long does it take until miles are credited to my frequent flyer account?

HHonors sends requests for mileage conversion to the participating Reward Exchange airline partners twice a month. Upon receipt at the airline, your points are converted to miles and posted to your account. HHonors and our airline partners ask you to allow 60 days for the miles to be credited, providing your initial request is complete and processed. Problems in processing an incomplete request can result in delays in the crediting process.

15. Why can I exchange 5,000 airline miles and receive 10,000 HHonors points, but only receive 1,500 miles when I exchange 10,000 HHonors points?

The exchange rates are based on the relative costs of the currency being exchanged (points or miles) and with regard to the costs of the rewards these currencies are redeemed for (free nights or free flights). The published conversion rates are part of the contractual agreements between Hilton HHonors and our Reward Exchange partners.

For more information, see the Rewards section. Visit the HHonors Reward Exchange Program site to participate in this program.

25. Will my HHonors account stay open even if I don't stay at a Hilton Family hotel?

Members who do not earn points in any 12 month consecutive period may be removed from the Program and, if so, are subject to forfeiture of all accumulated points. The account may be reactivated by the member taking one of the following actions:

  1. Stay at a Hilton Family hotel, thus reactivating membership; or
  2. Earn HHonors points through any third party source of HHonors point accumulation; or
  3. Purchase HHonors points

Failure to take action (a), (b), or (c) described above within the prescribed 90-day period will result in the closure of the Member's account and the forfeiture of all accumulated points. Members can redeem HHonors points for any HHonors reward for which they are eligible prior to the account being closed. After the points have been redeemed, the HHonors account will be closed and all remaining points in the account will be forfeited.
